💨 Abstract
Thailand has arrested 70 illegal immigrants, including 30 children, suspected to be Rohingya from Myanmar on an island in the south. The Rohingya, a Muslim minority in Myanmar, are denied citizenship and subjected to abuse. The immigrants said they were heading to Malaysia or Indonesia. Authorities are investigating to determine if they are Rohingya or Myanmar nationals who entered illegally.
