💨 Abstract
The UK's Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has launched an AI regulatory sandbox to speed up the introduction of AI medical devices into the UK market. The sandbox aims to encourage the development of innovative, safe AI medical devices by providing a testing plan and collaboration opportunities with industry and regulatory experts. The MHRA is accepting applications for two weeks, with plans to recruit candidates from various healthcare and clinical disciplines for the pilot scheme.
