💨 Abstract

On Monday, the UK sanctioned two Russian individuals and one entity for their involvement in Russia's chemical weapons activities in Ukraine. Aleksey Viktorovich Rtishchev and Andrei Marchenko, heads of Russia’s radiological troops, and the Joint Stock Company Federal Scientific and Production Centre were targeted with asset freezes and travel bans. The sanctions aim to penalize Moscow for its war in Ukraine, specifically for the use of riot control agent grenades.
