💨 Abstract
Armed gunmen attacked a cluster of small private coal mines in Quetta, Pakistan, killing 21 miners and injuring six, including four Afghan nationals. The attack, which occurred days before a Shanghai Co-operation Organization summit, is the worst in weeks in the province of Balochistan. The attackers, numbering around 40, burned down 10 mines, and there has been no claim of responsibility.
