💨 Abstract

An unidentified UAV, possibly a US-made MQ-9 Reaper, crashed in Afghanistan's Maidan Wardak province. The Taliban regime has not confirmed the incident, but images of the wreckage have been shared on pro-Taliban social media. The UAV's origin is unclear, but if it is a US drone, it may have flown from Pakistan. The Taliban has previously accused Pakistan of allowing US surveillance flights over Afghanistan.
