đź’¨ Abstract
Immigrant rights advocates accused the Trump administration of deporting around a dozen migrants from countries, including Myanmar and Vietnam, to South Sudan in violation of a court order. They requested a federal judge in Boston to order their return. The judge had previously barred the administration from swiftly deporting migrants to countries other than their own without first addressing their concerns of potential torture or persecution. The migrants were reportedly deported from a Texas detention facility.
