💨 Abstract

This article discusses the universalization of child development research, particularly focusing on motor development, which is often researched and presented as if it follows the same timeline globally. However, the study suggests that cultural and social context play a significant role in child development, and norms established in wealthier, western countries might not be applicable to other regions.
