đź’¨ Abstract
The National Council of SPCAs (NSPCA) in South Africa has strongly opposed a proposal by the Amaphisi Hunters’ Association (AHA) to legalize dog hunting and commercial greyhound racing. The NSPCA argues that these practices are cruel and exploitative, citing past investigations and government reviews. They warn that the AHA's proposal would institutionalize harm for profit and are calling for the rejection of the memorandum, advocating for more humane alternatives.
