💨 Abstract
In early January 2026, South African diesel prices are projected to drop by 76 to 80 cents per litre, while petrol prices may remain unchanged. Diesel drivers faced significant increases in the previous adjustment, with hikes ranging from 65 to 82 cents per litre. The Central Energy Fund (CEF) provides these projections based on current market conditions, including oil prices and the rand/dollar exchange rate.
