In December 2025, Zimbabwe has one of Africa's highest diesel prices at $1.570 per litre due to currency issues and import reliance. South Africa, with a more diversified fuel supply, ranks 10th with $1.320 per litre. Both countries face rising operational costs, affecting various sectors. The Central African Republic has the highest diesel price in Africa at $2.306 per litre.
