💨 Abstract
Iran has guaranteed safe passage for South African-bound oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz, despite the ongoing Middle East conflict. This assurance was given by Iran's ambassador to South Africa, Mansour Shakib Mehr. While this benefits South Africa and other BRICS+ partners like China and India, it won't affect global oil prices or ease fuel price increases in South Africa.
