💨 Abstract

South African Revenue Service (SARS) has introduced a new interim process to simplify tax return submissions for non-resident taxpayers earning South African-sourced income. The change responds to previous confusion over correctly completing returns. SARS has enabled non-residents to request the correct tax return format via the SARS Online Query System (SOQS) until a more permanent solution is integrated into the main return platform.
