💨 Abstract
South Africa has secured a €500 million (R10.4 billion) loan from the German Cooperation via KFW Development Bank to support its Just Energy Transition (JET) plan. This loan is part of broader efforts to enhance energy infrastructure, promote decarbonization, and foster socio-economic benefits for disadvantaged communities. It forms part of Germany's pledge at COP26 and includes support from various international organizations.
