💨 Abstract

The Gauteng Transport Inspectorate conducted a week-long operation removing 62 unsafe minibus taxis and issuing 1,104 traffic infringement notices. Violations included faulty brakes, missing documentation, and unlicensed drivers. The crackdown aims to improve commuter safety and reduce road fatalities ahead of the festive season. The province has adopted a zero-tolerance approach to lawlessness on the roads.
