đź’¨ Abstract
Actress and businesswoman Amanda du Pont has pledged her support for a nationwide shutdown against gender-based violence (GBV) organized by NGO Women For Change. She has donated R100,000 to the cause and publicly shared her personal experience of abuse by her ex-boyfriend, Jub Jub. The shutdown, scheduled for November 21, aims to declare GBV a national disaster, following a petition that has gathered over a million signatures.
