💨 Abstract
South African elderly residents are encouraged to apply for Free Basic Electricity, a program offering 50 kWh of free electricity monthly, exemption from certain charges, and protection against illegal connections. The initiative aims to support indigent and unemployed individuals as well as single parents and elderly people. Applicants must meet specific income and citizenship criteria, and registrations are currently underway. The program helps reduce revenue losses and infrastructure damage caused by illegal connections.
