💨 Abstract

A mammogram is an X-ray used to detect breast cancer early by identifying lumps or abnormalities not visible to the naked eye. Recommended annually for women 40+, it involves compressing the breast between plates to capture images from two angles. Digital mammograms provide 3D views. While mildly uncomfortable, it shouldn’t be painful. Avoid talcum powder, lotions, or deodorant, and wear a two-piece outfit.
