💨 Abstract

A study published in the *American Academy of Pediatrics* reveals that introducing peanuts to high-risk infants between 4 and 6 months can reduce the risk of developing a peanut allergy by up to 80%. Early exposure helps the immune system tolerate peanuts, challenging the traditional avoidance approach. Parents should consult a pediatrician before introducing peanut-based foods, starting with diluted peanut butter or purée. Whole peanuts pose a choking hazard.
