💨 Abstract

Mattel has launched its first Barbie doll with autism as part of its Fashionistas collection, which includes dolls representing various disabilities. Developed with the Autistic Self Advocacy Network (ASAN), the doll features details like elbow and wrist articulation for stimming, shifted eye gaze, and accessories like a fidget spinner and noise-cancelling headphones. The doll aims to promote inclusivity and representation for autistic children.
