💨 Abstract

In 2011, actress Pearl Thusi encountered convicted criminal Thabo Bester, known as the "Facebook Rapist," who threatened her with a knife after luring her to a fake audition. She convinced him to visit her pastor and did not call the police, later regretting not reporting the incident. Bester went on to murder his girlfriend, Nomfundo Tyhulu, months later. Thusi's encounter is featured in the Netflix docuseries "Beauty and the Bester."
