💨 Abstract
A minibus taxi crashed in Impendle, KwaZulu-Natal, injuring 20 schoolchildren. The driver, who only had a learner’s licence, fled but later surrendered. The unroadworthy minibus plunged off the KwaKhetha Bridge into a ravine, causing minor to severe injuries. Local residents and emergency services attended, with some children still hospitalized. This is the third scholar transport crash in Umgungundlovu District this month.
