💨 Abstract

An 8-hour planned power outage will affect 17 areas in Johannesburg on Sunday, 2 November 2025, from 8:00 to 16:00, for maintenance work. Meanwhile, a severe storm in the Vaal area caused power outages in De Deur, Emfuleni, Midvaal, Orkeville, and Rust Ter Vaal after power lines were damaged. Eskom reported no injuries.
