💨 Abstract
A storm in the Vaal region of Gauteng caused power outages after damaging Eskom powerlines, with some cables hanging low. A truck later collided with one of the lines, though no injuries were reported. Eskom is working to restore power by 20:00. Separately, parts of Fourways and nearby areas also experienced outages, with some supply already restored. Eskom warns of ongoing weather risks and urges caution around damaged powerlines.
