💨 Abstract
Fuel shortages in Southern Africa are threatening regional air connectivity. Airlines are facing uncertainty over jet fuel supplies, which could disrupt flight schedules and impact tourism, trade, and essential goods transport. The Airlines Association of Southern Africa (AASA) is urging fuel suppliers, governments, and airports to share contingency plans to ensure stable fuel supplies. Without clear communication and coordination, the region risks deeper flight cuts and weakened connectivity.
