💨 Abstract
Zimbabwe and Botswana plan to eliminate passport requirements for cross-border travel, allowing citizens to use national IDs instead. This initiative aims to enhance regional integration, ease movement, and boost trade. The agreement, discussed during the Fifth Bi-National Commission, will be implemented in phases, starting with border communities and short-term visitors. Both countries aim to modernize border systems and harmonize immigration processes to facilitate smoother travel and trade.
