The African Union (AU) and UNESCO have launched a framework to strengthen information integrity across Africa. This initiative aims to combat misinformation and promote reliable media environments. Key components include enhancing digital literacy, improving media professionalism, and supporting fact-checking organizations. The framework encourages AU member states to develop national strategies to address misinformation and promote media accountability. UNESCO will provide technical assistance and training.
