💨 Abstract
The African National Congress (ANC) has initiated lifestyle audits on public officials and executive members to combat corruption. ANC Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula announced this move on October 2, 2025, emphasizing that the audits will be conducted by an independent institution and will apply to all levels of the party, from Cabinet members to regional structures. Mbalula stressed that the audits aim to be credible and legally guided, not a witch hunt.
