💨 Abstract
Former Eskom CEO André de Ruyter has returned to South Africa after several years abroad, including teaching at Yale and Oxford. Despite the country's challenges, he affirms that South Africa is home. De Ruyter left South Africa in 2023 amid corruption allegations and an alleged assassination attempt. He is now consulting for renewable energy companies and serves as vice-chair of the board at Verra.
