💨 Abstract
The South African Revenue Service (SARS) has announced key details for the 2025 tax season. Tax season will close on 20 October 2025 for individual taxpayers and on 19 January 2026 for provisional taxpayers and trusts. Some low-income individuals may be exempt from filing returns. SARS aims to boost revenue collection by R20 billion, with auto-assessments beginning in early July.
