In his 2025 Budget Vote address, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa announced the possibility of cheaper electricity for citizens, alongside progress in reducing load shedding and fostering a competitive electricity market. The country is also growing in renewable energy, with significant international investments in just transition energy projects, he said.
