💨 Abstract
Former Eskom CEO Andre de Ruyter has taken on a consulting role in the international energy sector and joined the board of Verra, a global climate standards organization. After resigning from Eskom in 2022 amid corruption allegations, he spent time teaching at Yale and Oxford. De Ruyter, a renewable energy advocate, now focuses on climate policies and sustainable development, though no longer in South Africa.
