💨 Abstract
The Department of Justice in South Africa has highlighted a rise in human trafficking incidents, which often involve sexual exploitation and forced labor, targeting vulnerable groups like women and children. On July 30, 2025, a conference in Cape Town commemorating World Day Against Trafficking in Persons was held to discuss solutions. The DOJ plans to strengthen resources at airports and harbors and has launched Local Task Team Offices to combat this crime.
