💨 Abstract
In August 2025, South Africa's SASSA Elderly Person Grants will see changes due to government cost-cutting measures. The agency has introduced a fourth payment date for beneficiaries whose grants are under review. Recipients must verify their income and identity to avoid delays or suspension. Nearly 250,000 grants have been suspended since May 2025, with beneficiaries given three months to rectify issues.
