💨 Abstract

IDT CEO Tebogo Malaka called for an inquiry after footage emerged supposedly showing her attempting to bribe journalist Pieter-Louis Myburgh to halt investigations into her. Malaka denied the charges and alleged political interference and media collusion. She was suspended after an investigation into an R800 million oxygen plant tender. The Malaka Family Trust claimed she was set up, stating that Minister Dean Macpherson sought to replace her.
