💨 Abstract

A teen mother in Umlazi, KwaZulu-Natal was arrested after allegedly shooting and killing her one-year-old son. The incident occurred on Monday, 6 January 2025. The mother claimed to be outside sweeping when she heard the gunshot, but further investigation revealed that the shooting took place indoors. The mother is suspected to have been playing with a gun when it accidentally discharged, killing the child.
