💨 Abstract
President Donald Trump increased the global tariff rate on imports to the U.S. to 15%, defying a Supreme Court ruling that deemed much of his previous tariff program illegal. This move, announced via his Truth Social platform, follows a 6-3 court decision that limited his authority under a 1977 economic emergency powers act. Trump criticized the conservative justices who ruled against him, calling them "disloyal."
