💨 Abstract
Severe flooding in southern Mozambique has disrupted key rail links with South Africa, halting services on the Ressano Garcia line, which connects Maputo to South Africa. Landslides and rising water levels have damaged tracks, affecting both freight and passenger movement. Repair teams are working to clear debris and restore services. The floods have also impacted other routes, including the Goba line to Eswatini and the Limpopo railway to Zimbabwe.
