💨 Abstract

A high-speed train derailed and collided with another in southern Spain, resulting in 39 deaths and over 120 injuries. The incident, described as "extremely strange," occurred near Adamuz when a train from Malaga to Madrid derailed and hit an oncoming train. The accident happened on a straight, recently renovated track, involving a "practically new" train. Emergency services faced challenges due to the twisted carriages and the number of passengers.
