đź’¨ Abstract
South Africa is initiating a program to build new small harbours in underdeveloped coastal towns to boost local economies. Deputy Minister Sihle Zikalala launched the first phase in Port Shepstone, KwaZulu-Natal. This is the first time since 1994 that new harbours will be constructed, aiming to create jobs and open access to the ocean economy in regions beyond the Western Cape.
