💨 Abstract
The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) lost nine soldiers in a two-day clash with the M23 rebel group in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The SANDF, part of the SADC Mission in DRC, managed to halt the M23 group's advance towards Goma, the provincial capital of the DRC.
