💨 Abstract

A rare black springbok ram, named Siya in honor of Springbok captain Siya Kolisi, was born at Kingswood Golf Estate in George. The genetic mutation causing his black coat is extremely uncommon. Siya is now approaching his first birthday and has a more brownish coat. Interestingly, the estate had around 45 springboks beforehand, but this was the first black one.
