Mattel has introduced its first Barbie doll with type 1 diabetes, aimed at promoting inclusivity and empathy among children. The doll, designed in partnership with Breakthrough T1D, features a continuous glucose monitor, insulin pump, and diabetes-themed accessories. This move is part of Mattel's ongoing effort to diversify its Barbie lineup to better reflect real-world conditions and encourage children to see themselves represented in their play.
