Orlando Pirates secured a 1-1 draw with Cypriot side Pafos in a pre-season friendly. The match saw Pirates trail early but equalize in the 24th minute through a superb pass from new signing Oswin Appollis, who found Relebohile Mofokeng. Pirates, who had lost 2-0 to Bolton Wanderers earlier, showed resilience with several chances in the second half. Their next match is against Spanish second-tier side Las Palmas.
