💨 Abstract
The City of Tshwane removed over 200 meters of illegal water pipes in Ga-Rankuwa, disconnecting nine unauthorized connections that diverted water to Kgabalatsane, an informal settlement. The city warns that such theft reduces water pressure, causes infrastructure damage, and increases contamination risks. Enhanced monitoring and joint law enforcement operations are underway to curb water theft. Residents are urged to report illegal connections to protect the water supply.
