The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) have laid corruption charges against South Africa's Minister of Public Works, Dean Macpherson, for alleged interference in the Independent Development Trust (IDT) and bribing a journalist. The EFF accuses Macpherson of demanding payment for a contractor and attempting to replace the IDT's CEO with someone aligned with his party, the Democratic Alliance (DA).
