💨 Abstract

Democratic Alliance (DA) MP Emma Powell has resigned as the party’s international relations spokesperson due to ongoing harassment, threats, and intimidation related to her stance on South Africa’s foreign policy. Citing a toxic and dangerous environment, Powell said she faced targeted pressure and alleged surveillance by the State Security Agency (SSA). Her decision follows controversial engagements, including visits to the U.S. and Israel, which were criticized by the ANC.
