đź’¨ Abstract
The Citrus Growers’ Association (CGA) has called on South African President Cyril Ramaphosa to intervene and delay a pending 30% US tariff on citrus exports. The CGA warns that the tariff, set to take effect on August 1, could result in unsold fruit and significant job losses in rural citrus-growing regions like the Western and Northern Cape.
