💨 Abstract
South African Ambassador to France, Nathi Mthethwa, reportedly committed suicide by jumping from his hotel room on the 22nd floor in Paris. He left a suicide note and texted his wife about his intentions. This incident is reminiscent of another African diplomat's death in 2004, Nestor Kombot-Naguemon from the Central African Republic, who also died by falling from his hotel balcony in France.
