💨 Abstract
The City of Cape Town has repealed 1,029 outdated and unconstitutional by-laws, some dating back to the 19th century. These included laws on radio antennas, traditional beer, and firearms. This marks the completion of a decades-long process to cleanse the city's legal framework of remnants from its previous, fragmented municipal system. The city is now free of any outdated or unconstitutional by-laws.
