💨 Abstract
A new study by the World Health Organization (WHO) reveals significant variations in sick days taken by workers globally. Poland tops the list with an average of 34 sick days per year. South Africa's Basic Conditions of Employment Act allows employees a maximum of 30 paid sick days over a 36-month period, which is more conservative compared to high-absentee countries but more generous than low-absentee nations.
